COURSES
Contemporary Dance Technique (A and B levels)
Finish dancer and dance teacher Virpi Juntti does not teach any particular technique, her classes are based on her experience as a dancer and performer. According to her, it is important to recognise where the movement starts from - where its impulse is. Juntti explores how to bind movement into fluent phrases and the benefits of using breath in doing so. She teaches movement that is ergonomic and pleasant to the body, although this does not mean it is easy! Juntti promises a lot of movement and great music.

Jazz Dance (A and B levels)
The style and technique of Jazz dance classes conducted by Patricia Greenwood Karagozian (France) are based on the combination of american and european traditions. For over thirty years, she has taught jazz dance in different regions of France putting the accent on musicality as well as developing the notion of improvisation in jazz dance.

Gyrokynesis (open level)
Gyrokynesis exercises are an excellent cross-training for dancers. Through series of simple exercises and the use of breath, Gyrokynesis exercises optimize physical expression by attaining coordination, balance, strength and sensorial awareness. You will work with the sophisticated motor skills involved in the seven basic movements of the spine: forward, backward, left side, right side, left twist, right twist and circular, and ultimately, according to instructor of Gyrokynesis Deborah Macedo (Brazil / Denmark), experience harmony between mind and body.

The Principals of Balletbodylogic (open level)
According to dancer and dance teacher Annemari Autere (Norway / France) respecting individual alignment and the body's own logic, dancing, even ballet, becomes easy and effortless. Today a highly sought after guest artist/teacher/educator she has developed a personal method of teaching ballet, which she finally has named Balletbodylogic. Taking the body's own logic into account, she advocates that technique is mechanical and depends on the core muscles only. You will learn to consciously follow the body's natural movement patterns, to enhance the spine's natural breathing quality to enlighten jumps, to focus on eternal lines of energy.

Ballet class according to Balletbodylogic (open level)
This movement session, conducted by Annemari Autere (Norway / France) proposes specific exercises for becoming aware of the importance of the core muscles in the vertical alignment of ballet. The focus is to push-off from gravity. To theoretically know what happens in the body is very useful when we train to master a specific technique. Yet, without the real experience, it only remains theory. This workshop proposes to explore specific exercises which teach how to align the body within its own logic by pushing-off from gravity and enjoy effortless technique.
Performance Skills & Improvisation (open level)
Too often dancers are taught movement techniques while their artistry and performance skills are left untrained. How does interpretation, communication and believability of movement come across in relation to an audience? With the understanding that physical expertise can be developed simultaneously with our creative and expressive abilities, dance tutor Deborah Macedo (Brazil / Denmark) in this class uses improvisation to offer a learning space where the dancer can organically interact with all elements of his performance.
