The performance was inspired by salamander, an amphibian that was considered a messenger from hell in the Middle Ages. The extremely poisonous salamander became a symbol of alchemy due to its ability to regenerate lost parts of the body. Loreta Juodkaitė, a young choreographer, and Valentinas Masalskis, the famous Lithuanian theatre director, are trying to make a synthesis of dance, music and choreography focused on the topics of transformation and renovation.

The performance has received two prestigious Lithuanian theatre awards - Golden Stage Crosses in 2007. Loreta Juodkaite has been awarded for the best debut of the season, and composer Marius Baranauskas - for the best music created for a performance.
